The Crazy Cows are very lucky to visit some stunning venues and last night was no exception. We started off at the Andaz hotel and were treated to a champagne reception on arrival. We then made our way through the hotel visiting all the event space (and there is a lot of it). A personal favourite with the Cows was the Masonic Temple, a hidden gem only rediscovered in 2007 behind a wall when it was demolished. Behind the grand doors lie lavish marble pillars, a chequered floor and a throne fit for any King or Queen. In contrast the hotel also has a traditional English pub, Miyako (serving authentic Japanese cuisine), 1901 Restaurant and more traditional event space for conferences and private dining.

From the Andaz we jumped in a cab across London to the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. Our very attentive host even provided us with mini bottles of prosecco for the taxi journey so we didn’t go thirsty. This went down very well with the Crazy Cows. We were then treated to a lovely dinner experience at the chef’s tables. Our personal chef Carlo was on hand to prepare all the dishes right in front of us as well as running through the ingredients that were going into the dish. We really tried to take notes so the dishes would be recreated for our Saturday night dinner but after about 30 seconds realised it was far too complicated and that we should definitely leave it to the professionals. The smoked salmon starter, lamb main course and chocolate dessert were devoured within minutes of being put on the table. All of the food was matched the most suitable wines from around the world. A truly delicious dinner.
